A mission for all.

“It’s our mission to drive down the cost of fiduciary advice and make it accessible to all Americans — not just the rich.”

Entrepreneurial by nature, Bobby Martin created Tilly out of his own frustration with the financial industry’s high fees and lack of genuine advice. Bobby got his entrepreneurial start in 1999 when he co-founded First Research, a successful leader in sales intelligence, which was sold to Dun & Bradstreet in 2007. In 2011, Bobby co-founded Vertical IQ, a leading provider of industry research insight for banks, CPAs, consultants, and advisors where he is still a co-founder and CEO. He is an active angel investor and advisor in several innovative startups. This inspired his 2016 book, The Hockey Stick Principles which led him to become a national speaker.

With more than twenty-five years of experience in the banking and startup world, Bobby believes that providing unbiased advice is critical to clients meeting their goals. Bobby currently resides in Raleigh, NC with his wife and children and is an avid tennis player.

Tilly promises to prioritize our clients’ financial goals — whatever those may be.

For example, if you find more value in investing in rental properties and avoiding the stock market, we’ll help you do just that. Or, if you prefer investing in environmentally conscious companies, we will help you do just that.
